Aatapi addresses education gaps through innovative programmes that promote inclusive education and holistic development of children. By engaging with families and communities, the foundation supports children’s physical, emotional, and educational growth while encouraging equal participation for marginalised, girls, and differently-abled children through Bal Senas.
Through the Bal Sena approach, Aatapi reaches more than 3,000 children aged 8–14 across five villages in Jambusar block. The programme builds child rights awareness and capacity through activities such as sports, arts and crafts, clay work, celebrations, and the introduction of the Vipassana course.
Our Community
Aatapi’s Community Libraries engage over 100 children every month and have reached more than 2,000 women and community members. The libraries provide accessible reading materials in Gujarati, Hindi, and English, along with storytelling sessions, music therapy, yoga, and meditation to encourage learning and well-being.
Aatapi launched its Vocational Skilling program in 2022 to support youth aged 18–25 from disadvantaged backgrounds. The initiative focuses on employable skills, helping youth access better job and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Aatapi’s affiliations include the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and multiple Sector Skill Councils.
Over the past 3 years, Aatapi’s Vocational Training programs have helped more than 300 youth across the country access industry-specific training and placement opportunities, through a network with a placement rate of over 60 percent.
In addition to industry-specific skills, students are also offered basic English, computer literacy and life skills.
